Flint lead-free and RoHS policy:
Flint Distribution is committed to helping our customers in their transition to RoHS compliant production ahead of the approaching legislation changes.
As we are in the process of confirming many of the products' full RoHS compliance with our suppliers, the catalogue pages on our web site are flagged to indicate products which are lead-free and/or RoHS compliant. Links are provided to our suppliers' web sites so that you can keep in touch with their latest developments and technical advice. Flint has identified products' status with the icon on the right, which is at the top of each catalogue page for products identified as lead-free or RoHS compliant. There is a similar icon for products which have a known lead-free or RoHS compliant version available. Some components will be RoHS compliant because of a proposed technological exemption. Our understanding of the proposed RoHS legislation is that the list of exemptions is subject to final agreement. We are still in the process of obtaining information from our suppliers on products' compatibility with lead-free soldering processes; please contact us for specific product information.
