Bourns Offer Common Mode Chokes (CMC) in SMD

There are models either with a ferrite core or with a torodial core, depends on size and application.

The smallest models with 2mm (SRF2012) and 3mm (SRF3216) are produced by using ferrite core. The impedance can be selected form 30Ω to 2.2kΩ with a maximum current of 450mA. These series can be used in a frequency band from 1MHz to 1GHz for noise suppression for PC’s, Display Panels, Power Supplies etc.

The next series are models with 6mm (DR221) and 9mm (DR331) using a small toroidal core for an inductance range 11uH to 4.7mH and an impedance 200Ω to 10kΩ with a maximum current of 0.5Amps. Typical applications include CAN Bus for the suppression of EMI in data and signal lines.

The largest series with five models have sizes of 5mm (SRF0504), 6mm (SRF0602), 9mm (SRF0905), 10mm (SRF1006) and 13mm (SRF1306). Using toroidal cores, these offer a wide inductance range of 0.55uH to 6.5mH and an impedance range of 140Ω to 6.2kΩ. The current is in a range of 0.1 to 5Amps and these series are used in a frequency band of 1MHz to 1GHz.  The 15mm (PM36xx) and 20mm (PM3700) series are the largest models with inductances available up to 20mH and a maximum of 7Amps current. The typical frequency range is 25kHz to 55MHz.
