Hirose ZX Series, Micro-USB connectors fully meeting requirements of USB 2.0 Standard

Hirose have enjoyed great success with the Mini B type USB connector range, however rapid advances in technology has emerged and the requirement for smaller, yet better performing connectors has now arisen. Due to this demand Hirose has introduced the next generation Micro-B USB connectors which fully comply with Micro-USB standard 2.0. In fact we can proudly announce that "Hirose Electric developed the original concept!" Our established expertise in the development and manufacturing of high quality, durable, fine pitch connectors were recognised by approval of Hirose Micro-USB connectors as a standard interface by the USB committee.

Hirose Micro-USB connectors are designed with space in mind, saving approximately 60% space compared to the Mini-B USB whilst still allowing 480 Mbps specified by USB 2.0. A unique locking mechanism assures high durability while maintaining user friendly insertion and disconnection. A tactile sensation confirms that the connector is correctly and fully mated.

Many variations are available such as Micro-B and Micro-AB in standard, mid-mount and reverse receptacle options. For the plug, Micro-B and Micro-A with direct or PCB wire soldering. These styles can be used for data transmission, earphone or charging applications. Suitable devices are data recorders, readers, cameras, PA headsets, hand-held GPS, POS, mobile phones and many other applications.
